We would recommend a car when staying in the Varandas do Lago development. However, amenities, restaurants, and shops are all within a few minutes drive. You can also walk to the beach in around 20 – 25 minutes if you like whilst taking in the scenery. From this beach you can also access the Boardwalk which goes from Quinta do Lago to Vale do Lobo, along the sand dunes and passing some very popular restaurants.
