The Interior:

As you enter the villa there is a spacious entrance hall that leads to the living areas. On this floor is a bright and spacious open‑plan kitchen and lounge area, ideal for a relaxing family and social gatherings. The large windows flood the rooms with natural light and give direct access to the outdoor terraces. The ground floor also includes a comfy TV room and a small utility room. On this floor there are two beautifully designed ensuite bedrooms, one is a king‑size room with a walk in shower and the other room is a twin, also with a modern walk‑in shower.

The first floor is home to the beautiful master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom which gives a relaxing retreat featuring a bath, a walk‑in shower, and beautiful views over the pool and landscaped gardens. Also, on this floor you will find the fourth and fifth bedrooms. Both are twin rooms that share a contemporary bathroom that has a walk‑in shower.

On the lower floor, there is an additional utility room, another TV room which is ideal for movie nights or even a children’s hangout area. The lower floor is also home to the sixth bedroom which is a spacious king‑size room with an ensuite shower room.

The Exterior:

The grounds of Villa Makenzie are expansive and designed to provide pure relaxation. With multiple lounge areas and shaded spaces that’s surround the large inviting pool this villa creates the perfect setting for long sunny days. A covered BBQ area and outdoor dining space is designed to provide unforgettable outside dining in total privacy. Relax around the pool side terrace either in the shade or soaking in the sun on one of the sun loungers overlooking the pool and the gardens.

The Location:

A short walk to the lake & beach and Located off the 5th roundabout in Quinta do Lago. The iconic Quinta do Lago bridge leading to the beach is only a 20-minute walk from the villa. Across the bridge is the fabulous Gigi’s beachside restaurant. By this bridge you can access the Boardwalk which goes from Quinta do Lago to Vale do Lobo, along the sand dunes and passing some very popular restaurants whilst taking in the beautiful scenery. Also, you are just a 10-minute walk away from popular spots such as Bovino, Casa do Lago, and The Shack at the Lake. You can also access the boardwalk here too.

Catering for water sports enthusiasts of all ages, there is a fabulous choice of both lake and beach activities. Windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, and rowing are available on the lake, as well as sailing and water skiing. Property Rules

Strictly no smoking and no pets / No groups of young adults under 25 permitted / We do try to keep the photographs and descriptions up to date, however, furnishings, the layout and décor can sometimes change before information is updated here. The information provided is a guideline only / On public holidays there is no maid service / 181189/AL.

Bookings that fall in the winter sun category will have a mandatory charge for the utility bills. A meter reading is taken on your arrival day and then again on departure day. This is so the property manager can keep the cost of the property rental down; then only charge guests their utility usage rather than add a standard charge to the property rental price. Should you book pool heating there will be an activation fee (as shown in the extras section) as this is turned on at least 2 days before arrival/before the meter reading.

Please note, when booking pool heating the water temperature is dependent on the weather. This pool doesn’t have a pool cover which will affect maintaining the heat in the pool, especially if the weather is windy, raining, and/or the evenings are colder. We cannot guarantee the temperature of the water.

The booking fee is charged by the manager in charge of the property to cover administrative costs through the booking process (including the processing of guest data and tourist tax) pre and post holiday. The charge is £175 (non refundable) and is to be paid with the balance of your holiday.

From 01 November 2024 a Mandatory tourist tax is charged to guests by the local council and must be paid before entry into Portugal. For arrivals between the 01 April – 31 October the charge is €10 per person and from 01 November – 31 March the charge is €5 per person. The charge is for each person 16 years and older at the time of travel and is due 10 weeks before arrival along with the balance payment for your holiday.

Cancellation Policy

Deposit is non-refundable.

50 % of the stay is refunded for cancellations done prior than 57 – 69 days before arrival day.

25% of the stay is refunded for cancellations done prior than 43 – 56 days before arrival day.

The full amount is retained for cancellations within 42 days.
