Villa Saskia, Quinta das Salinas, Quinta do Lago

Villa Saskia is a calming and tranquil villa in Quinta das Salinas in The Algarve whose neutral design gives it a welcoming feel. This 4-bed villa is in a fantastic location being a short few minutes’ walk to the lake and also the boardwalk that goes along to the sand dunes to Praia Garrao. This is where you will find Beach side restaurants such as Julias and Izzys. Along the way you will see the Iconic Gigis restaurant, 2 Passos, and The Bold Octopus.

The Interior:

As you enter through the main front door, you will make your way to a very bright and neutral living area. In the lounge area you have plenty of seating where you can relax as a family. There is also a fireplace that can be used in winter months and a TV with Lazer TV Channels. In this living space you have two patio doors that give direct access to the terrace and pool area. In the dining space, you have seating for 6 people and another patio door leading to the pool and terrace area. There is also Air conditioning on each side of this area.

The kitchen is accessed via the dining area or from the end of the entrance corridor. There is also a freezer located outside by BBQ and also one in the utility room. The kitchen has a patio door that opens up to the outside BBQ area. Also on this level is a WC and there is underfloor heating throughout.

Bedrooms:

The villa has 4 ensuite bedrooms. Downstairs you have 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has access to the back of the house and is a twin room (can also be double) with a step-in shower. Bedroom 2 is opposite this room and has access to the front of the house. This room has a double bed with a bath that also has a hand held shower. Upstairs you have the remaining two bedrooms.

At the top of the stairs on the right is the master bedroom.  This room is a spacious room containing a king bed, desk, small storage unit, two walk-in wardrobe sections, and a large ensuite with a separate bath and step-in shower. This room also has access to a large terrace that covers the length of the house, overlooking the pool and garden area. A great area to relax with a book and a cocktail! Bedroom 4 is on the left side at the top of the stairs and once again has a king bed, with a step-in bath and step-in shower. This bedroom also has a small private terrace at the front of the house. All bedrooms have Air conditioning units.

The Exterior:

At the front of the house outside you have a large calçada (traditional Portuguese cobbles) space, enough for 3 cars. The entrance has high palm trees and welcoming bougainvillea. At the back of the villa, you have a large south-facing pool (10x5m) with the option to be heated for an extra fee. The external dining space contains a gas BBQ, with a sink and freezer. Solid marble dining table for 6, wicker sofa seating, and sun loungers.

The Location:

Quinta das Salinas in The Algarve at less than 10 minutes walking distance to Praia do Ancão (the well-known beach with the famous ‘Dos Passos’ restaurant). The area is surrounded by numerous golf courses and is a 5-minute walk to the nature reserve ‘Ria Formosa’. Quinta Shopping Centre and Vale do Lobo are also within a short drive as are some of the best restaurants in the area. With the beach, restaurants, and entertainment in close proximity, this is a fabulous location.
